Once again we shipped our kids off to Utah so we decided on a quick weekend get away since we didn't get a vacation for just the two of us this year. We rode the Victoria Clipper up on a very soggy Seattle morning, and ended up having such a nice time that we didn't want to come home.

Our first order of business was to get somewhere dry. We stopped into a little cafe for the traditional tea and crumpets, then made a mad dash for our hotel. We ended up at one of the swankiest hotels in the city called Swans. It's a darling boutique hotel. All the rooms have original art, vaulted ceilings, kitchens, and private balconies. It would just so happen that they have an "entertainment room" that rents for super cheap because it's above their restaurant where they have live music every night until 2am. We were down with rockin' out with the band so we took it, and around 2am we finally fell into a peaceful slumber.
